A couple of days ago we re-lived Darren Gough's hat-trick in the Sydney test of 1999. It was a momentous event for a number of reasons, not least that there have only been eight hat-tricks in Ashes history and only two since the 1903-04 series.

The great Australian spinner Hugh Trumble is the only man with two hat-tricks, both at his home ground of Melbourne, where five of the eight hat-tricks took place.
Of course, being English and having been present when Gough achieved his feat, we took great pleasure in re-living it and including a video of the event on the post. To re-dress the balance, here is the video of Shane Warne's hat-trick at Melbourne in the 1994-95 series. Don't expect us to watch it though...
