Last week in the wake of England's narrow defeat in Mohali we wrote a piece exonerating Jonathan Trott from the opprobium that had been flung his way despite him scoring 98 not out and Craig Kieswetter doing a passable impression of Kamran Akmal at his worst behind the stumps.
We're not sure we went far enough as Trott was still getting stick in the Sky Sports post mortems of the series even though he was England's leading run scorer in the series with 202 runs at 50.5 with a strike rate just below 80.
Lest it not be forgotten that Trott is rated in the top three one day batsmen in the world and as we explain in our column this week on All Out Cricket, he is also the member of an exclusive club.
