from the point of view of a (England-supporting) fan, it would be a terrible shame to see the West Indies break up as a cricketing entity.

it's so sad that there's such a dearth of good leadership (and a glut of poor leadership) in the game, and that's not just the case with West Indies, by any stretch of the imagination. The ICC, the BCCI, Sri Lanka Cricket and the PCB -- even Cricket Australia seems recently to have totally lost the plot. Do any of these governing bodies really have the well-being of cricket as their core motivation? It really doesn't seem like it to me.

It says something Wilo, when you have to hold up the ECB as the best example currently of sound cricket administration. The rest are either inept, corrupt and riddled with self-interest or in the case of the WICB all three.
