The Guardian may feature the quite hideously ghastly Polly Toynbee, but it is also home to by far the best cricket blog in the mainstream media, Andy Bull’s consistently excellent The Spin.
Never afraid to take on sensitive issues such as Sanath Jayasuriya being a member of a government accused of atrocious war crimes and being foisted onto the team by the Sri Lankan President, Bull tackles a wide range of subject matter within the game and invariably produces a piece that leaves the rest of the pack a long way behind.
It doesn’t matter how busy we are, as soon as the weekly email delivering The Spin lands in our in-box, we stop, make a cup of tea and sit down for our weekly dose of Bull. It hasn’t yet disappointed.
Andy is not exactly what you would call a prolific user but you can follow him on Twitter @AndyBullatCWC
