A super article David. The way Langer reinvented his game was astounding. Apparently he's into some martial arts and some very intense new age stuff as well.

I remember Jimi Stephens from the site did a book reading from Langer's autobiography and it was hilarious. A true hero!!!

Thanks Dave. I shouldn't like Langer as a Pom, but I can't help but do. He always came across well when I saw him interviewed when he was Somerset captain.

Even the hypocrisy of complaining about the no ball shouts directed at Lee when the Australians were more than happy to do it to Murali?

Or the 'broken bat' at the exact moment he edged a delivery versus Pakistan.

Or flicking a bail off then appealing for hit wicket despite the TV cameras seeing the whole thing.

Agree re Somerset and his contribution to first class cricket in General though.
