Drop the guy who averages late 40s in Test cricket and who last time Sri Lanka visited reverse swept the highest Test wicket-taker in history for 6 and got all the spectators buzzing. Good one. Flower is no fool, Pietersen is playing because he's integral to England's aim of becoming Test number 1.

Fingers definitely crossed. If KP can start firing again then England have a real chance of beating India later in the summer.
