Lancashire haven’t won the County Championship outright since 1934.
1934 - just think about that for a moment.
That was the year some bloke with a Charlie Chaplin comedy moustache was made Führer of Germany, blonde bombshell Brigitte Bardot was born and England relinquished the Ashes they had won in the Bodyline series just 18 months before.
In short, it was a bloody long time ago.
But this famine of almost biblical proportions could end this year. Despite losing to leaders Durham this week, Lancashire are genuine title contenders. So much so, that in our debut weekly column for All Out Cricket we’ve written all about why this could really be the year.
Supporters of Yorkshire may want to look away.
