According to the commentary, all 15 sixes were slog-swept over midwicket or long-on.

Impressive, sure. But hardly the sort of thing that has you running for the highlights.

I actually saw the innings - my baby daughter was ill so I had to stay at home to look after her - and although the bowling was pants, it was an impressive display of hitting even if (as you say) the variety of shots played wasnt wide. Some of the sixes went absolutely miles.


Im not a big fan of Watson - in fact he could well be my least favourite current cricketer - but credit where credit is due...


Ross Taylor vs Pakistan didn't exactly pepper anywhere except mid wicket but that was the most enthralling spell of the entire world cup in my mind.
