Whenever we watched Somerset last season in the limited overs format, the talent and hitting ability of Jos Buttler really caught the eye.
The 20 year old middle order batsman, who also keeps wicket, established himself in Somerset’s Championship side, playing 13 matches and scoring 569 runs at 33.47 – not bad for the then teenager in his debut season.
But it is the limited overs formats where Buttler shone most and his eye-catching strike rates in List A (152) and T20 (146) warrant attention.
Somerset are our tips for the Division 1 title this season and it is talented youngsters like Buttler who could take them to the promised land.
