Yet to turn 20, Hampshire left-arm spinner Briggs is a serious talent who really impressed on the recent Lions tour to the Caribbean.
Briggs took 33 wickets at 19 in six matches, including match figures of 64-17-177-9 against Jamaica.
One should then expect Briggs to improve this summer on his 32 wickets at 39 in 2010, especially as he will form a potentially lethal spin partnership with new recruit Imran Tahir.
Many have predicted that Ireland’s left-arm spinner George Dockrell will one day represent England. They may be right, but it is likely that Briggs will be pushing him all the way.
Where next?

Methinks he was also among the leading wicket takers at the T20 last year... he and Adil Rashid are actually a dream pair, sort of.

Wouldn't disagree there Wes. Roll forward five or so years and Rashid and Briggs could be operating in tandem for England
