It may not quite have been as hot a ticket as the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey later on, but today also saw Australian cricket's happy couple tie the knot in an impromptu ceremony at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Reverse Sweep had a mole at the altar and can happily reveal the vows that were exchanged between Pup and Twatto, with both the bride and groom wearing matching suits and ties:
Pup: "I, Michael, take thee, Shanice, as my lawful wedded Wife and Vice-Captain, to have and to bowl from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in defeat and in the odd victory, to love and to Tweet, till Hilditch and Chappell us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my todger."
Twatto: "I, Shanice, take thee, Pup er I mean Michael, as my lawful wedded Husband and Captain, to have and to cover for in press conferences from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in defeat and in run outs, to love, cherish, fondle and to obey, till Hilditch and Chappell give me the main job, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I give thee my bottom."
Pup: "With this Ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: In the name of the Chappell, and of the Hilditch, and of the Holy Ponting. Amen."
We predict that Kate and William's union will last just that little bit longer...
