Oliver Brett

"Maybe it's better to have someone who eats pies than bowls them." That's very good. Yup, I would have had Patel and Bopara every day... Oh well.

Dean @ Cricket Betting Blog

I thought Woakes did well considering it was his first tour, but apart from him, Trott was the only positive.

I've bored people with this on my blog, but I'm an Ian Bell fan - not one of his many previous knockers - but even I'm getting annoyed at him in this ODI series.

Bell should by now be taking the England batting by the scruff of the neck and dictating the innings. For a bloke who looked in such great form, he must be disappointed with his return.

The Reverse Sweep

I wouldnt disagree with you on bell, Dean, but he really should be opening the innings not wasted at number five. By contrast, Prior would be much more useful coming in at six or seven. Why England seem obsessed with the wicket-keeper having to open in ODIs is beyond me.

The Reverse Sweep

At least Bopara is in the squad now Oliver, albeit at the expense of our best ODI batsman Morgan. Im certainly not as confident about the WC as I was the World T20 and the Ashes!
