Interesting, but far too many words for a drunk to read this evening.

The Reverse Sweep

Its even harder typing that many words when you are drunk! Trust me.

I'm not sure that Kent would finish as high as fourth. I think Notts may finish fourth.

The Reverse Sweep

You may be right greyblazer, it is so hard to call once you get past Durham - the sides are all quite closely matched. But Notts will have to do without Broad, Swann and maybe Sidebottom for most of the season, so where are the wickets going to come from?

I think Andre Adams is a bit underrated as he can hit the bat hard and surprise the batsmen for a bit of pace. Darren Pattinson is a one test wonder but I don't think he would do a bad job in CC. I don't know for how many matches Nannes would play but I think he has improved as a bowler and has a very good bouncer. Shreck is a decent performer. Th retirement of Ealhem doesn't help.

If I look at Kent side they do have Amjad Khan and Joseph but both can be wayward. Tredwell always seemed like a journeyman to me though he did play for England in Bangladesh. I'm not sure that Azhar Mahmood can take the place of Ryan McLeran as he looks unfit. I don't think guys like Phil Edwards would trouble too many batsmen either. Of course Saggers has retired from cricket.I think Kent's bowling looks weaker.

The Reverse Sweep

Adams is not bad true and neither is Pattinson, although his second season for Notts last year was nowhere near as fruitful as his first. I think Nannes is only playing T20 and is retired from first-class cricket now. I agree with you on Shreck and Fletcher seems decent enough. Kent will miss Saggers but are apparently just about to announce the overseas bowler who will join them in the next few weeks. I just have a fancy that Kent will do well, but as I've said before, Durham apart, there isn't much to choose between the teams in Division 1
