I think South Africa have suffered for going on the defensive, via team selection. 7 batsmen, 2 all-rounders, and two bowlers. Thinking only of a draw is dangerous indeed. How nervous were you when England replaced Simon Jones with Paul Collingwood for the Oval in 2005?

Good point David, but I suppose with Bouchers injury/illness (I am not sure, which one), they didnt have much choice as they are essentially going in with the same four bowlers (plus Kallis and Duminy) as the 1st test - I presume Harris is not counted as one of your all-rounders - he is more of a no-rounder!!

I wasnt too nervous about that Oval test as a) I was getting married and so missed most of the action (dreadful timing!!), and b) Ive always rated Colly and knew he could hang around; as he did with the most vital 10 anyone has scored in the history of the game!!

South Africa are always defensive in any case!!

This one is merely informative o it's a really serious way of change our minds.
