Saturday is traditionally the day when an English Test crowd goes eccentric and dons all manner of silly customes.
In this Test series, India have sportingly joined in the fun. But who have they dressed up as?
They have yet to reach 300 with the bat. Indeed none of their five totals have topped the 294 Alastair Cook scored on his own yesterday. Only Rahul Dravid of India's stellar line up has justified his superstar status.
India's bowling - the excellent Praveen Kumar apart - has been frustratingly inconsistent and lacking genuine Test class. England's batsmen have certainly filled their boots.
And as for their catching and woeful ground fielding, the less said the better.
Instead of lining up for this as the top ranked Test side, India have performed a passable impersonation of Bangladesh.
Good sports they may be, but 4-0 is on the cards.

"In this Test series, India have sportingly joined in the fun. But who have they dressed up as?"
Given their truly dreadful display, I would have said that the Indian XI were dressed as Frocester Cricket Club rather than Bangladesh, but that's unfair - Ben Gannon and Mark Hardinges are both good bowlers and Frocester can catch.
Perhaps the whole trick was that they simply came dressed as cricketers? It wasn't a very convincing impersonation though...
